Summer in Denmark is something really special. We do not constantly have great weather or crystal clear water but we have something else. For me it’s the smell right after the summer rain, the colors on the beach and the late summer evenings that makes it so special. The weather is a huge topic here in Denmark especially during the summer. We appreciate the sun so much more because we do not regularly have it, and when the rain is coming we lean back in our favorite chairs with a good book and a cup of tea and enjoy the Danish ‘hygge’. It’s the contrasts that tell us to take nothing for granted and make us appreciate the little things.
I took these photos last week on a trip to the small Danish island Æbelø.
